BYLAW CHANGE 3.2. - to be voted on by members at the AGM
Currently the bylaw reads:
Membership fees are set by the Board and voted on by the Membership for the following year at a special meeting to be held at the end of each season (end of August or early September).
The proposed change is:
Membership fees will be set by the board in January after a review of the previous season's financials.
Justification for the change:
It is difficult to propose a fee and have members vote on this fee at the end of the season as when we do not have all of the financials available until the end of December.
As stated in the Bylaws, the board is elected to make decisions on behalf of the league and it's members. This includes managing the league, it's finances and assets. Decisions on how much fees for the season are based on covering league costs and trying to keep fees in line with other leagues.
